About the role

Pod Slab Sales is a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative construction materials. To support the installation of our new manufacturing capability we are looking for a maintenance fitter to join our team and be a part of our exciting journey you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

What you'll be doing

Performing routine maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing appropriate repair solutions

Supporting the installation of our new facility

Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history

Collaborating with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency

Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workplace

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a Maintenance Fitter with a strong understanding of Pneumatics in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong technical expertise in the maintenance, repair of mechanical equipment and machinery

Welding knowledge and experience

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail

Effective communication and teamwork skills
