Maintenance Fitter - Food Manufacturing

Days Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
$55phr / $110,000 p.a. + Super + OT

About the Role
Working as part of a close-knit maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability of production equipment through preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding, and supporting new equipment installations. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with a background in food or FMCG.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Assist with machinery installations and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
Ensure compliance with WHS, HACCP, and GMP standards
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified Fitter (Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
3-5+ years' experience in a maintenance role (food/FMCG highly regarded)
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Hands-on welding, grinding, cutting, and fabrication skills (TIG welding advantageous)
Experience with CMMS systems (MEX preferred)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Current working rights in Australia
