ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced mortgage professional with strong customer service skills to coordinate the settlement process. The right candidate will have hands-on experience within a mortgage broking business and thrive in managing the transition from formal approval through to settlement, while providing long-term client support.
This is a key role as The Loan Room continues to grow. You’ll work closely with a team of brokers to manage workflows, maintain proactive communication, and deliver outstanding client experiences. If you love taking ownership, driving outcomes, and building strong client relationships, this role is for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage home loan applications from formal approval through to settlement
Provide regular client updates and liaise with lenders to meet requirements
Follow detailed checklists and compliance requirements at every stage
Support team members with loan processing needs
Conduct post-settlement care: annual reviews, repricing, and ongoing client communication
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years’ experience in mortgage processing/settlements within a brokerage
Thorough understanding of multiple lenders' settlement process
Excellent phone manner and a passion for client engagement
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
High attention to detail and strong time management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Self-motivated, positive, and proactive team player
