About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Part Time Civil/Demolition Estimator to join our estimating team for an immediate start. Part time role working 24hrs a week. Days and hours are flexible. Must have demonstrated ability and experience to price and drive the tender process from start to completion within the Australian Civil Industry.

Your duties will involve but not be limited to:

Preparing detailed and accurate estimates for demolition and excavation projects.

Driving the tender process through to completion, including quotes, tender submissions, and develop winning strategies.

Liaise with subcontractors and builders via phone, site visits and emails

Negotiate, follow up and confirm prices and rates with subcontractors and suppliers.

Preparing SWMS, ITP, SOW, PRP, Site Establishment rules, Risk assessment, Contractor Evaluation, Demo and excavation plan. Take-offs and BOQ and Estimating using First principles.

Conducting studies to ascertain the value and feasibility of a project before proceeding.

Identify labour, material, costs, and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents

About You

We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked in Australia and are intimately familiar with the local industry norms, standards, and legal requirements. Your expertise in navigating the Australian market will be instrumental in ensuring accurate estimations and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Along with this essential requirement, a strong work ethic and a minimum of at least 3 years experience you'll have/be:

Australian Estimating Experience is essential

Full Australian working rights are essential

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail

Deep understanding of industry-specific factors are essential

Familiarity with best practices, safety regulations, material costs, and market trends.

Ability to prioritise workload and execute tasks within an agreed time frame.

Preferred experience using Buildsoft Cubit, EstimateOne, MudShark, Esticom, Teams, Zoom and Foxit PDF

Excellent Written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential.

Strong computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel

NSW Drivers licenses and White Card

Hold a Degree Qualification in Civil Engineering

Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.

Confidence in problem solving skills
