The Role
The Romeo Enterprise Office (REO) delivers the acquisition, sustainment and upgrade support for the MH-60R Romeo Seahawk to the Navy Aviation enterprise. REO has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic individual to provide logistics, contract and maintenance support to the organisation as the MH-60R Deputy Product Manager.
You will lead a dynamic team, and in conjunction with industry partners and Navy, directly support and deliver critical Defence capability in support of Australia’s national interests.
As the delivery agent, the REO supports the MH-60R Seahawk capability, primarily located at HMAS Albatross, Nowra. This exciting opportunity works in a combination of traditional Defence contracting and Foreign Military Sales commercial environments, undertakes logistics and technical governance activities, and offers a diverse and rewarding career within the organisation.
The MH-60R Deputy Product Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve very complex MH-60R sustainment product management activities within an integrated workforce, adhering to legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
The MH-60R Deputy Product Manager exercises independence and leadership, providing expert policy advice and implementing relevant policies. They plan, lead, and manage human and physical resources, focusing on strategic objectives and continuous improvement. They also manage key stakeholder relationships, identifying expectations and concerns, and contribute to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
The MH-60R Deputy Product Manager is required to manage an integrated high functioning team of APS and ADF employees, whilst ensuring compliant and effective outcomes are achieved in an inclusive and collaborative working environment.
They will actively maintain stakeholder relationships, and regularly engage with, Australian Defence, US government and industry partners to facilitate the provision of timely advice and the delivery of the MH-60R capability.
They must have demonstrated experience and a comprehensive knowledge of Integrated Logistics System (ILS), contract management support, maintenance support outcomes together with highly developed product, personnel and business acumen skills.
About our Team
The Romeo Enterprise Office ensures both the mission readiness and airworthiness of the Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff through the provision of support services via Foreign Military Sales agreements with the US Government, and International and Australian Industry Partners.
The successful applicant will join a diverse team made up of APS, ADF, US Navy and contractors, all driven to ensure the availability of the RAN’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo Helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff is delivered under a cost effective and financially compliant framework.

- Apply your highly developed communication and engagement skills to prepare briefings, submissions, reports and communicate commercial and contracting risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders;
- Be solutions focused, with the ability to present ideas persuasively;
- Be a critical thinker, skilled listener and effective communicator;
- Able to work within a collaborative team environment to maintain effective relationships in achieving shared objectives;
- Attend customer and contractor weekly meetings in person ensuring the best outcomes for the MH-60R capability;
- Ability to apply judgement to achieve critical outcomes; and
- Trustworthy, transparent and possess the highest levels of integrity.
