Discovery Floats is a proudly Australian-owned business leading the way in premium horse float manufacturing. Based in Craigieburn, we’re expanding rapidly and looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. 🔧 Your Role

As a MIG Welder, you’ll be hands-on in the fabrication of steel chassis and float frames. You’ll work closely with our production team to ensure every float meets our high standards of safety, durability, and craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities include:

MIG welding and metal fabrication of steel components

Assembling chassis and float frames to specification

Reading and interpreting job cards and verifying dimensions

Ensuring all required parts are present before fabrication

Adhering to OHS protocols and maintaining a clean, safe workspace

Supporting other team members with fabrication tasks as needed

✅ What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s not just skilled — but reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player.

To be successful, you’ll have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience welding chassis for caravans, trucks, or trailers (highly desirable)

Strong understanding of OHS requirements

Physical fitness for manual handling tasks

A positive attitude and willingness to take direction
