The Opportunity

The primary focus of the Operation Manager role at UWA Sport is to manage our facilities and programs to ensure users have the best possible experience. This includes responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of all UWA Sport venues, including venue and facility management, leading teams and staff supervision, facility maintenance, customer service, and health and safety - all with the aim of enhancing the student experience through sport at UWA.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be customer focussed and have experience in the operational management of venues/facilities, including:

Oversee venue bookings, invoicing, escalated membership inquiries

Manage venue equipment life-cycle, stock ordering and stocktake

Lead a team of venue staff including recruiting, rostering, training and development

Work health and safety responsibilities for staff and customers

Establish customer service standards including monitoring customer feedback for continuous improvement

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for the role, as the successful candidate will be required to foster positive relationships. They must be adept at maximising the benefits for students and customers with the ability to confidently manage emergency situations.

Operation Managers must be flexible and available to work across multiple venues and on a 7-day roster in rotation across the team. Weekend penalty rates apply (in addition to the advertised base salary).
