Due to continued growth across the region our Franchise Owners are looking to recruit motivated and driven Retail/Store Manager to join the Subway® brand. This position is the face of our Franchise Owners’ restaurants. As well as preparing and serving delicious Subway® sandwiches you will meet and greet guests and deliver exceptional guest service.

The Retail/Store Manager is at the heart of the operation, and our Franchisees are always looking for new talent to lead the teams that help the Subway® brand to be the first choice for those who want to enjoy quick and nutritious meals.

About The Role

You may currently be working as a Catering Manager, Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager – or maybe you’re an experienced Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager looking to progress your career. If you have management experience in a fast-paced retail environment, then we want to hear from you!

You will be primarily responsible for the success of your restaurant – from restaurant sales and profitability to the provision of first-class guest service and operational excellence.

We are currently seeking two highly motivated and experienced Store Managers to join our team at Subway Wanneroo and Subway Floreat. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, staff management, inventory management, financial management, marketing and promotion, compliance, and safety.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Diploma of Management or Hospitality (or equivalent)

Strong leadership and management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Solid understanding of food safety and compliance regulations

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, staff management, inventory management, financial management, marketing and promotion, compliance, and safety

Hire, train, and manage staff members

Schedule shifts and ensure that all staff members are following company policies and procedures

Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring that all supplies are properly stored and accounted for

Track sales, manage expenses, and ensure that the store is profitable

Promote the store and drive sales through marketing and promotional activities

Ensure that the store is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and labour laws

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff

Examined merchandise to verify that it was correctly priced and displayed.

Increased profits through effective sales training and troubleshooting profit loss areas.

Developed, implemented and managed business plans to promote profitable food and beverage sales.

Maintained a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

Oversee front of house personnel to maintain adequate staffing and minimize overtime.

Prepared for and executed new menu implementations.

Led and directed team members on effective methods, operations and procedures.

Recognized and formally acknowledged outstanding staff performance to boost company morale and productivity.

Strategically developed effective marketing plans to increase sales and profits while managing costs.

Follow-up with online sales platforms (UberEats, Menulog, and DoorDash) for any error charges.

Duty statements:

As the store manage your primary duty is to oversee the daily operations of the store and ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities include:

Sales and Customer Service: You will be responsible for overseeing the sales and customer service operations of the store. This involves ensuring that customers are satisfied with their experience, overseeing the preparation of food, and ensuring that the store is clean and well-maintained.

Staff Management: You will be responsible for managing the staff at the store, including hiring and training new employees, scheduling shifts, and ensuring that all staff members are following company policies and procedures.

Inventory Management: You will be responsible for managing the store's inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring that all supplies are properly stored and accounted for.

Financial Management: You will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the store, including tracking sales, managing expenses, and ensuring that the store is profitable.

Marketing and Promotion: You will be responsible for promoting the store and driving sales through marketing and promotional activities. This includes overseeing the implementation of marketing campaigns, managing social media accounts, and organizing in-store promotions.

Compliance and Safety: You will be responsible for ensuring that the store is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and labour laws. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.

As the store manager, you will be responsible for leading by example and providing excellent customer service. You will need to be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively. You should also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
