Our client, a Commonwealth Government organisation whose focus is to provide support to Australian's living with disability, require the services of a Project Manager (Data Products).
Duties of the Project Manager (Data Products)
- Co-ordinate planning activities for data assets, data and insights products and reporting solutions across cross-functional agile delivery squads or project teams;
- Develop and maintain the project schedule, balancing technical dependencies, business requirements and other priorities;
- Deliver all components of the project solution, working with other Agency teams to develop data solutions for which Data & Analytics is responsible;
- Represent the project in D&A Change Management activities and release planning;
- Ensure Data & Analytics design, coding, quality and standards are met, including Go/No-Go gates;
- Actively manage delivery of the project using tools including MS Project, JIRA and Confluence including management of plans, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and key decisions;
- Publish regular Status Reports on project progress;
- Provide delivery leadership to project teams, including conformance to delivery best practices, standards and methods;
- Be a champion for continuous improvement, leveraging deep experience in data product project delivery.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience of 8 to 10 years in establishing and managing the delivery of IT, data and / or analytics projects;
- Adanced skills and experience in MS Project, JIRA, Confluence MS Powerpoint and MS Visio;
- Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry recognised qualification in project management;
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded (desirable);
- Experience with SQL, SAS (desirable);
- Data testing planning and execution (desirable);
- Experience with UAT execution (desirable).
