Position Overview

Role: Project Manager – Plumbing Project Manager

Reporting to: Director – John Gillette

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Additional hours may be required from time to time and will be paid at overtime rates.

Remuneration: Negotiable, based on experience and demonstrated ability. A performance bonus is available for the right candidate.

Experience: Minimum 10 years plumbing experience to be considered for role

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Schedule and manage plumbing teams on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to JGP’s quality standards.

Conduct regular site visits for quality assurance and performance monitoring.

Mentor and upskill apprentices and junior plumbers, while reviewing performance of team members.

Project Delivery & Quality

Direct on-site activities, setting clear KPIs and tasks for team members.

Track budgets and schedules, providing accurate project and progress reports to management.

Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to keep projects moving smoothly.

Ensure adherence to plans, specifications, standards, and safety requirements at all times.

Experience with Groundplan, Procore & SimPRO preferred

Materials & Resources

Manage materials efficiently — coordinate timely deliveries, monitor usage, oversee correct storage, and manage returns.

Ensure tools, equipment, and machinery (both personal and company-owned) are properly maintained and in safe working order.

Communication & Client Relations

Communicate clearly with clients about job commencement, progress updates, and project completion.

Maintain strong working relationships with building company project managers, colleagues, and management.

Attend site walk-throughs with clients and represent JGP in a professional, well-presented manner, wearing company attire.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all job sites under your management comply with WHS regulations and JGP safety policies.

Carry out all duties as directed by the Director within expected timeframes.
