Master Data & Data Quality Manager — Casual/Contract
House of Pharmacy — Silverwater | Hybrid (head office/WFH)
We’re finishing a major core setup and need an IT-savvy master-data owner to keep everything rock-solid: clean data, tight architecture, bulletproof integrity and protocols, timely promo loading, and live syncing with suppliers across POS, in-store ESLs, and e-commerce. Pharmacy experience is valued; meticulous data habits are a must.
What you’ll do
Be the source of truth. Own the master product file for two stores: barcodes, brands, category hierarchy, RRPs, costs & sell prices—consistent everywhere.
Data quality & governance. Define standards, validation rules and audits (duplicate barcodes, missing fields, tax flags, orphan SKUs) and run scheduled checks.
Supplier → House of Pharmacy alignment. Reconcile supplier files to our taxonomy/naming; maintain import templates and change-control.
Promotions that just work. Load and quality-check promotions so prices, ESLs and ticketing sync on time.
E-com readiness. Keep product data clean for online channels/feeds; watch for—and fix—data drift.
Architecture & planograms. Keep items in the right Category → Dept → Sub-Dept and aligned to planograms.
Reporting & light automation. Build accuracy dashboards, run variance checks and exception queues, and script repetitive clean-ups.
Multi-site coordination. Run cutovers, bulk updates and price events across both shops without data diverging.
You’ll bring
Advanced Excel/Sheets (lookups, text functions, pivots; bonus: Power Query/macros).
Practical retail back-office exposure (POS and ESLs).
E-commerce data familiarity (feeds, attributes, promo windows).
A process mindset: versioning, approvals, rollback plans.
Nice to have: basic SQL or Python for batch checks; experience with barcode/product data sources (e.g., GS1, MediPIM) to verify item details.
Retail/FMCG/pharmacy background valued.
Why you’ll love it
Work with the founder. Direct access for quick decisions and clear priorities.
Own the function. This is the first dedicated master-data role here—you’ll set the bar, the standards and the roadmap.
Startup pace, real-world impact. Small team, low bureaucracy, and work that shows up on shelf and online—fast.
Pharmacy, upgraded. Help build the data framework that delivers consistent, perfect retail execution.
Modern stack. Z Office (POS) + ESLs + e-com, with scope to streamline and automate.
Flex first. Casual/contract to start, pathway to part-time/full-time if it’s a fit.
Pay & work type
From $50 per hour
Start casual/contract (≈ 2–3 days/week), pathway to PT/FT
How to apply
Hit Apply with a short note + CV. Bonus points (optional) if you share a brief example of a data clean-up or a validation rule you’ve built.
