SALARY: $53,196 -$63,980 pa + Super

Location: Works Depot - 5 Millwood Avenue, Narellan 2567
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Traffic Engineer Cadet to join our team, for a hands-on introduction to the field of traffic engineering and transportation planning. In this entry-level role, you'll collaborate closely with experienced professionals on projects designed to improve road safety and traffic management. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the design and implementation of traffic management plans, contributing to traffic studies, and performing data analysis to identify potential improvements.
You will also participate in field inspections, support traffic studies, help prepare technical reports and presentations, and provide valuable input to policies and procedures. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop practical skills while making a real impact on the community's transport systems.

Essential:
- Completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or relevant discipline
- Well-developed oral and written skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to liaise with staff and the community
- Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS and ethical principles and to act with probity at all times
Desirable:
- General knowledge of roads and traffic policies, standards and guidelines through the Movement and Place Framework and Safe System Approach
- Understanding of NSW Local Government
