About the Role:
This position is for a well known Engineering company (Steel fabrication and erection specialist) based in Adelaide, operating within both commercial and residential sectors. The company has a long-established history, having completed thousands of projects and built strong relationships with clients. A focus on teamwork, engagement, ownership, and support is essential for achieving quality objectives.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and Supervision

• Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of estimating.
• Responsible for the efficient and productive Estimation of Structural Steel.
• Promote and quote Structural Steel products and services that they offer
• Co-ordinate, establish and monitor steel quotes
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Structural Steel Strategies
• Assist in the development and monitoring of Structural steel budgets
• Liaise between clients and workshop for job amendments, progress, scheduling, etc.
• Measure and provide quotations and consultation for Structural Steel products and services
• Negotiate and follow-up with clients, builders, engineers, architects and drafting on quotations and specifications
• Liaise with customers and Management regarding:

1. Quotes
2. Orders Pricing
3. Re pricing
4. Amendments to drawings
5. Variations
6. Budgets

• Provide estimations and quotations for steel lintels
• Responsible for estimating Variation Order (VO's) for the Project Managers
• Process structural steel quotes into orders
• Produce and maintain statistics on structural steel quotations
• Phone sales and service
• Identify and raise Improvement Notices
• Implementation of corrective actions

• Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
• Participate in organizational policies and procedures to maximise outputs.
• Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
• Assist Systems Manager to manage the Company's Quality Management System
• Assist Systems Manager to manage the Company's WHS system
• Work within and enforce the organizations Work Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
• Work within and enforce the organizations Quality Management System

Education and Experience

• 3rd Level degree in Estimating/QS/Construction (Or relevant Degree)
• Relevant experience in a similar industry (Open on years of Experience - Can be Junior/Intermediate/Senior)
• Ideally will have Steel fabrication and erection industry experience
