About the role

Reporting into the Operations Manager, OCON Services Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Engineer Looking to take the next steps in their career as a PM. This full-time role will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex civil engineering packages on the Snowy Hydro 2.0 Project.

What you'll be doing

Provide expert technical leadership and oversight for multiple concurrent engineering packages

Collaborate cross-functionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met

Manage the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions

Prepare detailed project plans, specifications, and reports

Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed

Mentor and coach junior engineers to support their professional development

Ensure all projects adhere to relevant engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering

Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a senior project engineering role

Demonstrated expertise in the design, management, and delivery of complex civil engineering works

Demonstrated expertise in the design, management, and delivery of utilities installation

Demonstrated expertise in the design, management, and delivery of earthworks packages

Experience with Slope stabilisation, road building and civil works infrastructure projects.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think critically

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in the use of engineering design software and project management tools

Thorough understanding of relevant engineering standards, regulations, and safety requirements

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior engineers
