We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer to join our dynamic Finance Team. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, this role combines accounts payable responsibilities with payroll processing and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing company. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Creating purchase orders
Process supplier invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain accurate supplier records and manage queries
Payroll:
Process end-to-end payroll for a growing team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Manage payroll queries and ensure accurate deductions and tax reporting
Prepare payroll reports and assist with relevant compliance audits
General Accounts Duties:
Assist with month-end and year-end processes as required
Prepare and process financial transactions in line with company policies
Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and reporting as required
Maintain data entry and record-keeping through MYOB and Excel
What You’ll Need:
At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable and/or payroll role
Proficient in MYOB or similar accounting software
Strong knowledge of payroll processing and relevant legislation
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate to advanced level)
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all financial tasks
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
