Founded in 2017, Axis Mineral Services Pty Ltd (‘Axis’) specialise in crushing & ore sorting services for all requirements in Mining, Milling, Processing and Civil applications. Axis are currently running crushing circuits, ROM Management and general site works operations across projects in the Goldfields regions, within the Mining and Civil Construction sectors.

As we continue to grow, Axis is seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Accountant to join our Perth-based head office in Ascot.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this hands-on role will suit someone with solid accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, assertiveness and a drive to contribute to a dynamic finance function within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

· Process supplier invoices and credit notes in an accurate and timely manner;

· Perform supplier reconciliation and resolve discrepancies;

· Manage payment runs (EFT/cheque) and ensure payments are made within agreed terms;

· Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure appropriate documentation is filed; and

· Liase with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage queries and approvals.

Bookkeeping & Financial Support

· Assist with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly ledger maintenance;

· Support the month-end closing process, including accruals and pre-payments;

· Help maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules;

· Timely and accurate recording and maintaining financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries into accounting software and systems (Xero);

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with accounting standards;

· Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures by the required due / cut off dates;

· Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits; and

· Assist in the implementation of new system.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field;

· CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly regarded.

· 1 years’ previous experience in accounts payable or finance role;

· Proficiency in using financial systems (Xero or Acumatica); “Power BI” experience is a plus;

· Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (extra points if you’re a spreadsheet wiz!);

· Valid WA Driver’s License; and

· Current National Police Clearance.
