About the position
Join the Engineering Construction team as a Grader Operator/General Hand and play a hands-on role in shaping municipal civil projects. You'll operate machinery to the highest safety standards, meet all regulatory requirements, and contribute to the delivery of vital works across the City.
What we are looking for
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
Relevant experience in a similar role in civil engineering
Delivering quality and desirable service levels in the context of the position requirements.
Demonstrate an ability to contribute and apply analytical and problem-solving skills in matters relating to road construction.
Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
Ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.
Essential requirements
Current HR class driver’s licence
White Card
Grader operator’s accreditation
Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
