About the position

Cadia Systems manufactures & designs innovative, high-quality processing equipment for the mining industry. This includes gold processing equipment such as electrowinning cells, regeneration kilns, barring furnaces, extraction systems, as well as full turn key elution skids and ancillary goldroom products.

We are a small close knit group of people pursuing excellence in our products and delivery of services primarily to the gold mining industry worldwide.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, talented and motivated individual who likes diversity in their role. The role is primarily Canning Vale office and workshop based.

You should have a keen interest in developing or executing your existing skillsets and applying them in a timely and efficient manner to your job. You should also have a keen interest in professional development and expanding your range of skills to complement existing ones.

Your role primarily will include:

• developing and drafting new and existing products with the principal engineer and chief draftsman

• delivery of profile cutting drawings and shop fabrication detail

• organizing and maintain engineering records

• procurement

• management of product manufacture

• scheduling, manufacturing execution and inspection

• researching new materials and methods of product development

• client communication and development of quotes and estimates

• designing and developing new products and prototypes

• integrating with the workshop tradesman and provision of technical input and design information for fabrication

It may, depending on your skillset and aptitude, extend through to commissioning.

This is a fulltime employment for the right person and salary is subject to your work experience, qualifications and employment history. Your ability to work with a small team, including fabricators and independently is tantamount.

Consideration will be given to a draftsman of suitable experience, particularly in pressure vessel design, structural assembly and piping.

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor level engineering degree (mechanical)

• Design drafting experience is a must

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Professional experience with SolidWorks is a must and AutoCAD software & design at a high level including 3D development and detail drafting

• Experience contributing to technical engineering discussions

• Good communication skills

• Ability to execute tasks in a timely efficient manner

• Good attention to detail

• A drive to find innovative solutions to challenging problems

• Professionally presented, self-motivated & accountable

• Ability to undertake site works

How to Standout:

• Experience in 3D CAD SolidWorks expertise

• Work experience in mining environments is beneficial

• Relevant hobbies and activities
