Organised, structured, professional. That's how I'd describe this IT company.
A well oiled machine. Established processes for support and projects. Driven by best practice. No cowboys here.
The managers that will interview you for this role have been there for over 10 years. I know, I placed them there. It's simply a great place to work and grow your career.
The culture is all about caring, giving and having your team mates back. They service a lot of not for profits, so that figures. Your work here will make a difference to people that need it.
The company philosophy is not all about profit and KPI's it's about clients, service and people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking on escalations from techs who sit on the help desk in front of you.
- Keeping client systems running, documented, and secure.
- Finding and fixing recurring issues—no band-aid solutions.
- Improving processes because “that’s how we’ve always done it” isn’t a reason to keep doing it.
- Doing sys admin work for sizeable clients, some around 500 users.
What You Need to Know (generalist knowledge to a sys admin level)
- Microsoft 365 & Active Directory – Security, simple migrations, Exchange and Sharepoint Management, Intune, Defender
- Networking & Firewalls - administration and management, vlanning, switch, router and firewall config changes (GUI based)
- Windows Server & Virtualization - manage Windows on-prem virtual servers, allocate resources, restore from backup, fix performance issues
- PSA & RMM Tools – ConnectWise, Labtech, or similar.
Who You Are
- Problem solver, not just a ticket closer.
- Good with clients – You explain things in plain English, not tech jargon.
- Process-driven – You follow best practices and improve them.
- Keen to level up – If you don’t have Microsoft certs yet, you’ll work towards them. (Paid study days too!)
- Team player – You know when to back up your team mates and when to push them forward.
We're looking for someone who can prove their skills are better than just helpdesk level. Maybe you have a home lab and you've built servers, or migrated them to M365 or Azure. Perhaos you've set up your own domain and understand DMARC, DKIM, SPF etc.
We don't care how you've got your skills, we just need to hear you passionately describe the difficult issues you've faced and how you learnt to solve them. Whether it's a PFSense firewall issue at home or a slow running server at work.
I'll personally read every CV. You will get a response if you're in Australia.
