POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Farm Inspector for our banana farm situated in Lakeland, Far North Queensland.

SKILLS

You must have at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and a minimum of 1-year of relevant work experience. Leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team are highly beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a full-time Farm Inspector your role will be to ensure that our produce meets industry and government standards with respect to quality and food safety.

POSITION DUTIES

The position will require the following duties:

· Inspecting banana growing, harvesting and packing to ensure and enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.

· Monitoring and checking on job progress to maintain crop health and growth:

+ Bell injecting, bagging

+ Stringing, deleafing, de-suckering

+ Fertilizing, spraying

+ Irrigation checking/ maintenance

· Inspection of pests and diseases on bananas and report to manager.

· Organization, supervision and training of paddock staff.

· Record data and report to Farm Manager
