Capeview Fresh is a family business which operates a 3,800 acre property at Gumlu, in North Queensland, producing capsicums, mangoes, limes, rockmelons, pumpkin, and beef cattle. Gumlu is situated close to the coast, between Townsville and Bowen in North Queensland, where we enjoy great winter weather conditions, fishing and boating.

We are seeking a full-time Farm Operations Manager. You would be responsible for the coordination and management of the farms operations. This is a position for a capable hands-on leader.

Working closely with the business owners, duties would include:

Managing all aspects of the crop cycle from ground preparation, planting, nutrition and pest management, to harvesting and post-harvest clean up.

Managing staff deployment and performance across the farm.

Crop monitoring, liaising with the farm's agronomist.

Implementing irrigation, nutrition, and pest & disease management plans.

Ensuring WHS policies and practices are followed.

Successful applicants will need:

Previous practical experience in managing agricultural ventures, including supervision of staff.

Experience in operating and maintaining farm machinery.

Experience with GPS systems, in particular Greenstar.

Experience in chemical application.

Medium - high level of physical fitness with self-motivation and a positive attitude.

Forklift licence

HR licence also beneficial
