About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our team at LIQUIP SALES QLD PTY LTD' in Pinkenba, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in supporting our skilled tradespeople and contributing to the success of our operations.

What you'll be doing

Assisting our mechanical tradespeople with a variety of tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and installations

Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for use by tradespeople

Performing general labour duties such as cleaning, organising, and moving heavy items

Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

Participating in ongoing training and development to expand your skills and knowledge

Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar labourer or trades assistant role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector

Strong practical skills and a willingness to learn new techniques

Experience using hand and power tools in a mechanical or industrial environment

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Good communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Manual car driving licence

Forklift licence

Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa
