We’re looking for Mechanical Trades Assistants to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This role is a great chance to get involved in large-scale construction, support skilled trades, and gain valuable site experience.

Who you will be working with
You’ll be supporting qualified fitters, boilermakers, and supervisors on one of Australia’s key renewable energy projects. The team is known for its professionalism, strong safety focus, and collaborative site culture.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist with installation, racking, and component placement
• Use hand and power tools to support tradespeople
• Help with loading, unloading, and moving materials
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Follow instructions and site safety procedures

We are looking for someone with

• Previous construction or site-based experience
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• White Card (mandatory)
• Bobcat, Skid Steer EWP licences a bonus
• Current driver’s licence
• Experience with mechanical or structural components – highly regarded
