Warehouse & Despatch Manager

About Our Client
Our client is a leading Australian small goods manufacturer supplying premium products nationally through major supermarkets and foodservice providers.

Your New Role
Based in south-west Sydney, you will take full ownership of warehouse and despatch operations. Reporting to Production, you will:

• Lead inbound and outbound logistics to achieve 98.50% Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT).
• Ensure all products are handled, picked, and dispatched with correct shelf life and Minimum Life On Receipt (MLOR).
• Uphold HACCP and food-safety procedures at every stage.
• Collaborate with Production to forecast picking requirements, identify stock shortfalls, and communicate priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major carriers to optimise timing and cost.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives aligned with the management plan.
• Supervise day-shift warehouse staff and drivers, ensuring accurate completion of paperwork, stocktakes, and system updates.
• Oversee yard and CHEP pallet reconciliation to minimise waste, damage, and loss.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in warehouse, despatch, or logistics management-food-industry background highly regarded.
• Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing teams to deliver operational excellence.
• Hands-on knowledge of delivery routing, GS1 standards, scanning systems, and ERP/WMS platforms.
• Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and confident communication style.
• WHS accreditation (First Aid preferred).
