Position Description – HR Officer
Position Title: HR Officer
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: CEO and Operations Manager
Location: Nailsworth , SA 5083
Position Purpose
The HR Officer provides professional and administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring that ResicareSA maintains compliance with legal, regulatory, and NDIS requirements. The role plays a key part in supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance monitoring, and employee relations while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment including advertising, shortlisting, reference checks, and offers.
Prepare and issue employment contracts in line with SCHADS Award and Fair Work obligations.
Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction for new employees.
2. Employee Relations & Support
Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from staff.
Provide advice on workplace entitlements, leave, and basic award interpretation.
Assist in addressing staff concerns and escalating issues to management when required.
3. Compliance & Records
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Monitor mandatory checks (e.g., NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, First Aid) and ensure timely renewals.
Support HR compliance during internal and external audits.
4. Training & Development Support
Maintain the training register and compliance matrix.
Coordinate delivery of mandatory and refresher training.
Track training completion and escalate overdue requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
Experience in HR, administration, or related roles.
Working knowledge of SCHADS Award and Fair Work Act.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Competency with HR systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable
Previous experience in the disability, aged care, or community services sector.
Familiarity with NDIS Quality and Safeguards requirements.
Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Performance Indicators
Recruitment processes completed within agreed timeframes.
Employee records and compliance registers maintained to audit standards.
Timely and accurate processing of HR-related documentation.
High staff satisfaction with HR support services.
