Scrum Master
Location: Sydney - 2 day per week office attendance

About the Role:
A client of Talenza's is commencing a key regulatory program, and they require a hands on scrum master with prior experience within this domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with cross-functional teams (BAs, SMEs, UAT, Change Managers) to break down Epics into user stories and tasks, and supported estimation and sprint planning activities.
• Facilitated end-to-end Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, showcases, and Scrum of Scrums, ensuring Agile best practices were followed.
• Monitored sprint progress, maintained JIRA boards for visibility on velocity and status, and escalated blockers to ensure timely delivery.
• Acted as a bridge between program leadership and delivery teams, supporting stakeholder communication, reporting, and alignment across business and technology.
• Adapted to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and demonstrated domain knowledge in Financial Crime and Regulatory/Compliance areas .

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience as a Scrum Master (5+ years) within financial services
• Prior experience working within a banking regulatory program (must)
• Extensive knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Extensive knowledge and practice of Agile and Scum Management
• Experience in tracking dependencies, and managing milestones
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and capable of influencing key stakeholders at all levels
