Job Overview:

As the Tax & Accounting Manager, you will manage the Accounting team, coordinate jobs, and provide technical leadership in tax planning, structuring, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring technical proficiency and high standards of service.
• Reviewing and approving tax returns prepared by the team.
• Managing work-in-progress, completion, and turnaround times.
• Adhering to systems and processes to achieve revenue targets.
• Coaching, developing, and training team members.
• Leading the annual tax planning process and overseeing ATO and ASIC matters.
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients for private rulings and objections.
• Preparing tax returns, activity statements, financial statements, and work-papers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Masters of Tax highly regarded).
• CPA, CA, or CTA membership (Registered Tax Agent highly regarded).
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Strong time management and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM) highly regarded.
• High standard of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
