The Company

We are looking for an Accounting and Tax Director to join a large Global organisation based within the Sydney Olympic Park surrounds. This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Accounting & Tax to step into a key finance position during a transition period and leading the Finance team. This position will commence on a contract basis with a view of permanency, for the right candidate.

The Position

Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Lead accounting operations: GL, close processes, reporting, and audits.
• Manage full tax compliance: income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, BAS/IAS.
• Advise on tax strategy: transfer pricing, M&A, restructures.
• Establish internal audit and financial control frameworks.
• Champion finance digitisation: automation, analytics, systems.
• Support CFO and exec team on strategic initiatives.

About You

To thrive within this position, you will have demonstrated experience within:

• CA/CPA qualified with 10-15 years' senior finance experience
• Deep technical accounting and tax compliance knowledge
• Track record in finance transformation and project-based roles
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Experience in global or ASX-listed companies
• Industry background in energy, infrastructure, or construction
