As Tax Manager, you’ll lead the tax compliance function for a prominent Australian group, overseeing both direct and indirect tax obligations, managing tax forecasting, and collaborating with key internal stakeholders. In this role you will:

• Oversee and manage the Australian group's direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, and FBT.
• Lead the quarterly tax forecasting process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare tax effect accounting and manage the delivery of tax disclosures in financial statements, liaising with external auditors.
• Handle reviews and enquiries from the ATO and other tax regulators, providing expert guidance and resolution.
• Develop and lead a team of junior accountants while maintaining strong tax governance processes and controls.

Who are you?

• A CA/CPA qualified professional with significant experience in tax compliance and reporting, ideally gained within a commercial in-house tax team.
• A proactive and hands-on individual, capable of working autonomously and managing multiple priorities with ease.
• A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to build relationships and provide clear, actionable tax advice.
• A leader with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members to support their professional growth.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with a strong understanding of tax governance processes and the ability to implement effective controls.
