About the role
Are you a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager looking for a change of pace and purpose? However, Servants is growing. This role would suit someone looking to scale back from a busy career—bringing their skills and wisdom to help shape a simple, well-structured kitchen across our houses rather than focusing on fine dining or complex menus.

Train, supervise and roster kitchen staff and volunteers
Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, complying with all relevant health and safety regulations
Collaborate with the broader team to develop and implement menu plans
Monitor food costs and wastage, and implement cost-saving measures where possible
Chatting with residents whilst you serve them, ensuring they get a daily smile. Yours might be the only one they receive.
What we're looking for
Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in a similar Kitchen Manager or Head Chef role, ideally within a not-for-profit or community setting
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
A commitment to providing high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to diverse dietary requirements
A passion for supporting people with that are disadvantaged through low income, mental illness, addiction and trauma
