As the Senior Payroll Team Lead, you will join a dynamic and accomplished Finance team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organisation's continued success while advancing your career in a progressive, employee-focused environment. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities include:
Supporting the completion of fortnightly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance through meticulous data entry, processing, and comprehensive periodic reporting across the organisation's diverse workforce
Knowledge in the interpretation and application of Modern Award conditions within a dynamic, multi-site workforce environment
Prepare statutory calculations including PAYG withholding, payroll tax, superannuation contributions, and other industry-specific regulatory requirements with precision
Contribute to the maintenance and development of payroll systems, driving best-in-class outcomes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy across all operations
Contribute to the performance of third-party payroll processes and systems designed by external providers within the New Zealand business unit
Provide leadership support to the wider Payroll team, contributing to organisational capability building
Lead and successfully deliver ad hoc projects, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
To be considered for this role, you will possess 5-6 years of demonstrated experience in payroll operations within a comparable organisation, showcasing technical expertise and emerging leadership potential. You will demonstrate exceptional analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving capabilities, superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel and outstanding relationship management skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
