About the role

Privately owned, Bibra Lake based, boutique logistics company require the services of an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across international borders and aligning with all regulatory requirements. As a Customs Broker, you will play a vital part in the company's Customs import operations, working closely with clients to navigate the complexities of customs procedures.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and lodging accurate customs declarations and documentation in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Liaising with customs authorities, DAFF, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to resolve any customs and DAFF related issues

Providing expert guidance and advice to clients on customs regulations, tariff classification, and duty requirements

Maintaining detailed records and ensuring all necessary documentation is properly filed and accessible

Staying up-to-date with changes in customs laws, regulations, and policies to ensure the company's compliance

Collaborating with the broader logistics team to optimize customs clearance processes and improve efficiency

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Customs Broker with DAFF accreditation.

Thorough understanding of customs laws, regulations, and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice to clients

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex customs requirements

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work
