The Opportunity:

Are you looking for a rewarding permanent role at headspace Strathpine where you can make a difference?

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for young people and their families. You'll play a critical role in delivering professional, welcoming, and confidential administrative support to the headspace team, ensuring smooth operations for the clinic.

With a focus on youth-friendly and accessible services, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate care delivery and ensure the centre runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality reception support, greeting young people and visitors with care and respect.
  • Manage appointment bookings, confirmation, billing, and document preparation using the medical software system.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the timely and accurate handling of client records and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain practice procedures, including file management, medical billing, and coordination of office supplies.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and setup of consultation rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.

About You:

You’re a professional with experience in a similar reception or administrative role within a healthcare setting. You’re confident working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on excellent customer service and attention to detail.

You'll also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a reception or administrative role, preferably within a health setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare processes and medical software systems, including Profile Medical Record System (preferred).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially in working with young people and their families.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
