About the role
TasWomen by TasOGS is seeking a dedicated permanent part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. This role is for Tuesdays only, providing essential front-desk and administrative support within our women’s health practice.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping to create a welcoming environment while ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the clinic.

What you’ll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic calendar

Handling patient enquiries (in person and by phone) with care and efficiency

Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality

Processing payments, Medicare claims, and patient invoicing

Ordering and managing office and medical supplies

Supporting doctors, midwives, and nurses with day-to-day administrative tasks

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration

Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused manner

Strong organisational and time management skills

Competence with medical software (Clinic to Cloud experience ideal) and Microsoft Office

High attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential information

A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
