Difrent Rental are seeking a consumer finance professional to join us as a Credit Assessment Officer on a full-time basis, operating in a niche consumer finance segment, renting technology items, home entertainment products, and appliances.

Duties & responsibilities:

Assess consumer rental applications and make approval decisions based on internal guidelines and legislative requirements

Provide end-to-end service to consumers, from assessment of the original application all the way through to product fulfillment

Offer suggestions and improvements to management in respect of our website, the customer application process, and the back-office credit assessment system

Communicate directly with customers through various means to clarify application details and provide updates

Maintain accurate records of all application assessments and related communications in internal systems

Identify and escalate complex or high-risk applications in accordance with company policy and risk frameworks

Experience & attributes:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in consumer credit

Specific experience in credit acceptance is not required, but advantageous

Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with MS Office suite

Effective communication and customer service skills

Keen problem-solving skills and an eye for detail

Strong multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities in a busting environment

Good work ethic and ability to collaborate with a team

Full Australian working rights and current residence

Ability to work in-office in Prospect, South Australia
