We currently have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Technical Services team, reporting directly to the Technical and Maintenance Manager.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible but not limited to below tasks:

Commission and Service high-tech equipment (full training provided)

Provide aftersales support both on-site and remotely

Conduct product testing and prepare technical reports

Learn new Satake technologies and collaborate with our global network

Able to travel extensively in Australia and neighboring islands in Pacific region such as New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea as required.

Office based duties include Product Applications Testing and workshop duties.

Majority of the work will be directly related to Optical Sorting machines, and over time we will also provide training to expand your knowledge base for product families within the Satake range.

Knowledge / Abilities and Skills required:

Experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment. We value mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read electrical schematics.

Highly developed and technical problem-solving skills and a passionate customer eccentric approach.

Positive and can-do attitude with a proactive approach.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is key for success in this role.

Self-driven and confident to work autonomously and independently without supervision.

Ability to use tools of trade and specialty tools

Ability to work in a safe manner and follow standard OHS rules.

Ability to frequently travel inter-state and when required overseas.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Good written and oral English communication skills.

Ability to work with overseas non-native English-speaking suppliers and support team.

Ability to follow set procedures.

To be successful in this rewarding role, in addition to above mentioned abilities, you must have:

Full Australian Driver's Licence.

An Australian Passport.

As Satake is part of essential services and overseas and inter-state travel is core part of this role, you will be required to be fully immunised against COVID 19 before commencement of employment. This is mandatory and non-negotiable. You must provide evidence of Immunization supplied by Australian Government.
