Role Overview

As a Fumigation Technician specialising in tarp‑bunker and silo sealing, you’ll prepare and seal grain storage facilities—such as silos, bunkers, and tarp‑covered structures—to create airtight environments necessary for safe fumigation. You’ll work on-site, collaborating with clients and ensuring each job meets our high standards for safety and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct export and on‑farm fumigation services for grain storage structures (e.g., silos, bunkers, containers).

Pull, position, weld, seal, and secure specialized fumigation tarps to ensure gas-tight containment.

Apply fumigants, monitor gas levels, and safely aerate treated structures.

Perform inspection and troubleshooting during fumigation operations.

Maintain fumigation equipment, ensure safe handling of chemicals, and comply with safety guidelines.

Prepare accurate reports detailing fumigation activities and outcomes.

Communicate clearly with clients, address their needs, and ensure satisfaction.

About You

Experience in agriculture, particularly with grain storage and handling.

Previous exposure to fumigation practices, especially with export or on‑farm operations.

Practical skills in tarp placement, sealing, or welding.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, particularly regarding safety.

Effective communication and client-focused interpersonal skills.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Relevant fumigation certifications.
