Role Details:
Join us at the Department for Child Protection's Adelaide CBD office as we grow our team with skilled professionals committed to supporting a safe and healthy workplace.
We're looking for an experienced Claims Manager who can lead and manage an effective Injury Management system, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement while supporting staff and the broader organisation.
In this role, you will:
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, managers, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure effective claims and workforce support.
Deliver prompt, efficient, and compliant claims and compensation services, including dispute resolution, cost management, and adherence to legislative and accreditation standards.
Provide expert advice, guidance, and training on workers' compensation matters to management, supervisors, claimants, and staff to ensure consistent and equitable outcomes.
Represent DCP in legal and compensation matters, including negotiation and tribunal proceedings, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of disputes.
Promote a positive workplace culture through consultation, grievance resolution, mentorship, and development of best practice approaches that support equity, diversity, and individual needs.
To be successful:
You have proven skills in planning, problem-solving, and implementing effective solutions under tight deadlines and changing environments. You communicate clearly and negotiate confidently with staff, senior management, solicitors, and external organisations.
You have experience managing Injury Management systems, analysing data, and producing accurate reports. You understand WHS and Injury Management legislation and policies, and you are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace.
