The Opportunity

The Department of Occupational Therapy is on the search for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join their team within the School of Primary and Allied Health Care. This 12-month opportunity aims to prepare students for entry to the occupational therapy profession through curricula focused on foundational interdisciplinary knowledge for health care practice, occupational science, occupational therapy practices for enabling participation in everyday life, use of research in practice, and integration of attitudes, knowledge and skills expected for culturally safe and competent professional practice.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will be actively engaged in conducting research relevant to occupational therapy and/or interdisciplinary areas within the School.

You may co-supervise honours and postgraduate students, conduct original research leading to high-quality publications and external funding, and contribute to the discipline at national and international levels. The role may also contribute to administrative responsibilities, participation in departmental planning and committees, and support research and program development activities, particularly at the Senior Lecturer level.

To be successful in the position, you will need:

A doctoral or masters qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation and standing and/or recognised significant experience in Psychological theories

Demonstrated strong publication record in high-quality refereed journals and textbooks or equivalent teaching resources

Demonstrated strong record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment

Demonstrated ability in undertaking outstanding research and leading a research team and project
