About the Opportunity:

The Project Manager Occupational Violence Prevention (OVP) Projects is responsible for leading the development and implementation of key strategic OVP projects within the NSWA Safety unit, most notably the Body Worn Camera and In-Vehicle Cameras – to support the reduction of occupational violence risks to frontline staff. This position will oversee all phases of program delivery including planning, procurement, stakeholder engagement and implementation coordination. The role may also be required to support the delivery of other occupational violence prevention initiatives, aligned to the organisation’s Safety Strategy and legislative obligations.

The position is critical to ensuring effective and safe integration of these technologies into frontline operations, with robust change management, risk governance, and cultural sensitivity at the core of delivery. This role may require some travel across NSW.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects - ideally in the deployment of safety, security, or surveillance technologies in a public health or emergency services environment.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of occupational violence risks, WHS obligations, and the practical application of control measures in frontline operational settings.
  • Experience navigating privacy, legal, or ethical considerations related to surveillance, data security, or staff safety.
  • High-level interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously to drive the program
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, work health and safety, public administration, technology implementation or a related discipline are desirable

How to Apply:

Please respond to the below two questions (max 4000 characters including spaces) and submit this with your CV and other required information.

Question 1: Provide an example about a time when you worked with a stakeholder or colleague who had different ideas or perspectives, and how you managed to collaborate effectively to achieve the organisations goals? What was the outcome?

Question 2: Describe the biggest project you have had to manage in your department from beginning to end. How did you coordinate activities and monitor the progress? What was the outcome?
