Job Title: Experienced Chef

Location: Ipswich, QLD

Remuneration: $35.15 - $37.00+ per hour + 12% Superannuation

Position Overview

A reputable in-home culinary support service is seeking experienced and professional chefs to join its expanding team. Due to significant growth and high demand for our specialized services within the aged care and disability sectors, we have immediate openings for skilled candidates.

This position offers a departure from traditional hospitality environments. Successful applicants will operate with a high degree of autonomy within clients.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to individual client needs.

Collaborative menu development in consultation with clients and management.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking highly organised and empathetic professionals with exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive professional history in commercial kitchens, contract catering, or as a private chef. Formal qualifications are highly regarded but not essential for candidates with a proven track record of excellence.

Minimum of 5-8 years of professional kitchen experience is required.

A demonstrated ability to work with discretion and professionalism. Experience in the aged care or disability support sectors is advantageous.

Possession of a professional chef's uniform and knife kit.

A reliable, insured vehicle and a current Australian driver's license.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold, or be able to obtain, the following:

Qualification in Commercial Cookery

Candidates must already hold a Commercial Cookery qualification at the time of application.

Verifiable right to work in Australia.

A current police check is required.
