Launch Recruitment is looking for an IT Support Engineer who is responsible for maintaining ICT infrastructure and cloud systems, managing the IT support ticket queue, and providing first-level support and troubleshooting. Key duties include onboarding new staff, delivering IT training, and supporting hardware/software installations and upgrades. The role also covers managing end-user devices, networks, servers, and security systems, as well as administering Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Outlook, Azure, SharePoint, Teams) and handling backups and data recovery.

This role requires you to be on site 5 days a week and working 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Install new systems and implement upgrades based on business needs.
• Regularly assess ICT systems to ensure performance and compatibility.
• Deploy and manage test servers for software development and QA processes.
  
  

• Maintain and update security programs, hardware, and system software.
• Ensure network and account security best practices are followed.
• Manage user accounts and groups, enforcing least privilege access.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts, escalating when necessary.
  
  

• Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery/business continuity (DR/BC) plans.
• Monitor and report on Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
• Support recovery efforts during incidents or emergencies.

• Provide general IT support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across systems and applications (e.g. Microsoft 365).
• Manage and resolve support tickets within agreed timeframes, ensuring accurate documentation of work.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory, user access, and SharePoint site security.
• Support website, domain, and SSL certificate maintenance.
• Onboard/offboard staff and provide IT training to promote security best practices.
• Follow and support compliance with security standards (e.g. ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, Essential 8).

Experience and Requirement

Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 operating systems
Experience with server & network administration
Experience with Active Directory & Microsoft 365 administration (Including SharePoint)
Experience with Linux and Ubuntu
Experience with WordPress administration is a bonus.
Experience with providing Level 1-2 support
Ability to learn on the go and provide solutions to unique issues
A drive to succeed and improve processes
