About the role
At Geelong Arts Centre, Stage Door Attendants play a key role in creating outstanding client and performer experiences. As the first point of contact for artists and visiting professionals, you’ll be a calm, friendly, and professional presence, ensuring every backstage moment runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard.
Key Requirements
- Experience in customer service, events, or venue operations; theatre or arts experience highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, professional and friendly approach to backstage interactions.
- Confident in managing safety, inductions, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to maintain clean, well-presented backstage areas.
- Strong computer skills with ability to complete clear event reports utilising Microsoft 365 and Event Management software.
- Excellent teamwork and communication across multiple departments.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol RSA) certificate and Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC). Willingness to obtain HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course if required.
