We are a leading construction company based in Brisbane, QLD, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance with Australian laws, and support our continued growth.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager will manage the financial health of the company, providing strategic guidance to the leadership team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and overseeing budgets, forecasts, and compliance obligations. This role requires a strong background in construction industry finance, commercial acumen, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.

Develop, monitor, and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support project delivery.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and taxation obligations (BAS, PAYG, GST, FBT).

Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.

Liaise with external auditors, banks, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with all financial, taxation, and corporate legislation.

Advise senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Oversee finance team performance, training, and professional development.

Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

At least 2 years of relevant work experience (construction industry experience highly desirable).

Strong knowledge of financial management, corporate accounting, and tax compliance in Australia.

Demonstrated ability to develop financial strategies and manage budgets.

Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
