An exciting opportunity for a full-time fixed term contract (with possibility of extension based on approved funding) position as Program Manager – Noongar Land Fund, has become available. Reporting to the CEO you will manage the Noongar Land Fund prescribed program, including the creation of a Healthy Country Plan, identification of capacity building and training programs for existing and new teams, supervision of consultants, identification, creation and implementation of commercial land management opportunities including, but not limited to, land management across the Noongar Land Estate, local government land management and state government land management. The position will have one direct report, who will primarily be responsible for increasing the collaboration between existing Aboriginal ranger and land care groups across the region.
Essential Criteria
· Experience working with Traditional Owners to build effective and culturally sensitive relationships based on mutual respect. Noongar experience preferred.
· Tertiary qualifications in project management, land management, environmental management, or similar.
· Highly developed experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
· High level of experience in procurement.
· High level of experience in financial management.
· High level of experience in preparing quotations.
· High level of experience in planning and managing projects.
· Demonstrated experience in managing staff.
· Demonstrated high level of customer service.
· Drivers’ license.
· Experience in working effectively in a collaborative culturally diverse team.
Desirable
· Currently have membership, or the ability to gain membership, with the Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation.
