Casual Kitchen Hand / Cook

The Mawson Lakes Hotel is looking for an energetic Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our busy kitchen team. Part of the SA Pub Group (including Hotel Crown in Victor Harbor, Semaphore Hotel and Fed Hotel), our venue is fast-paced, high-volume and full of variety — serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a team, is eager to learn, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and cooking tasks

Maintaining excellent kitchen cleanliness and organisation

Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment to support service

Receiving and storing stock safely and efficiently

Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a kitchen hand or cooking role (preferred, but not essential)

Strong work ethic and reliability — willing to roll up your sleeves

A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Availability across a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends
