The Wilderness Group has been providing schools and specialist groups and the general public with high-quality outdoor programs and nature-based tourism experiences for 30 years. It is the largest provider of school camps, excursions and outdoor pursuits in South Australia, and one of the largest nationally.

The Role

We are seeking a camp cook with previous experience in food preparation, cooking for large groups, food hygiene and allergies.

You will be required to travel to various camp locations including the Adelaide hills, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders Rangers, Kangaroo Island and the Coorong.

You will need to prepare simple and healthy food in large volumes and must be able to adapt to the different kitchen facilities at these sites.

This position will require you to be away from home between 3-5 days whilst working on a camp. Our peak for cooking work is Oct to Dec, and again in Feb to May

Desirable Attributes

A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to get one is essential.

Must be able to competently drive a manual vehicle and hold a current drivers license.

A friendly and positive nature and ability to work as part of a team is necessary.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

We pay $375 per day on camp with the last day being paid at $299/256
