About the role

Are you a passionate and skilled gardener looking for a part-time opportunity to put your green thumb to work? Art of Gardening, a leading landscaping company based in Sandford, Tasmania, is seeking an experienced Gardener/Landscape Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces of our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

Performing regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, hedging, irrigation installation,fertilising,weeding, and mulching

Assisting with the installation and care of a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees

Creating new Gardens

Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment

Communicating effectively with clients to understand their preferences and deliver exceptional service

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Gardener or Landscape Maintenance Specialist, with a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience

Experience verification through any combination of references, portfolio/photos, or previous employment records

Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, soil and landscaping techniques

Familiar with the use of a lawn mower/brush cutter, blower, etc

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy

Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces

A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively

Australian work authorisation required for this position
