We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team and manage our purchasing operations.

The Role:
As a Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of products across local, international, and inter company channels. You will manage supplier relationships, maintain pricing databases, and coordinate logistics to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage international purchasing, including ordering, and tracking shipments.

Liaise with international suppliers regarding lead times, container configurations, and order requirements.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs brokers to ensure smooth importation of goods.

Manage the receipt of international purchase orders, calculate landed costs, and ensure accurate billing.

Oversee local purchasing to ensure operational needs are met efficiently.

Facilitate inter company transfers and stock allocations across multiple sites.

Maintain and update vendor pricing databases for accurate procurement decisions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and priority access.

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and align purchasing with operational requirements.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in procurement, with a strong focus on international sourcing preferred.

Experience liaising with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents.

Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance.

Strong analytical mindset.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with Odoo is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
