Duties

Tasks and Responsibilities

The duties of our Fabricator include, but are not limited to, the following:

Manufacture/fabricate and repair metal products including Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Steel old and new.

Welding products in accordance with drawings and instructions

Observe and maintain a high level of safety at all times

Ensure all tools that are used are safe and compliant

Report needs for repairs and maintenance to workshop equipment

Monitor stocks and request purchase of items required

Carry out any inspection and functional tests required and record results

Clean up and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures

Ability to use using various welding techniques & welding Equipment

Maintain general tidiness in work area

Initiate actions to prevent occurrence of deficiencies in work performed in the factory

Identify and record deficiencies occurring in the factory

Comply with all company policies and procedures

Other duties as required from time to time

Skills

Experience in Mig (solid and flux core) & Tig welding preferred

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and interpret drawings

Ability to meet commitments under pressure

Motivation, maturity, autonomy and the ability to work with a team.

Safe, productive and positive “can do “attitude

Qualifications

Cert III Cert IV or overseas Equivalent.

Experience

We are looking for a person with at least 1- 3 years’ experience

With appropriate trade or industry certification

Relevant experience in a similar role and industry
